# How to edit gas fees

TURN ON ADVANCED GAS
```
First of all make sure you have advanced gas controls ON following the steps below:
* Open Metamask
* Click on your profile image
* Click on Settings
* Click on Advanced
* Turn on Advanced Gas Controls

EDITING GAS FEES
```
* Make sure to have a Gas Fees estimator extension or app. Please scroll down the following guide in order to find the best ones

* When a collection is dropping, gas fees usually increase and it's crucial to know how to properly edit them in order not to have the transaction canceled
* Click on the estimator app and check the gas fees
* As you want your transaction to be executed asap, go for the highest probability and GWEI
* Now click on the Mint button from the website of the NFTs dropping (if you're minting from the contract is the same)
* It will pop up Metamask
* If you're on 9.8.4 version, just edit GWEI (don't modify the Gas Limit)
* As you can see, you just have to edit GWEI based on the estimations.
* **For HYPED DROPS we suggest you to double the GWEI (eg. Instead of 82, go for 164)**
* If GWEI are increasing, so increase also in Metamask

What if i already processed the transaction and have to raise GWEI amount?

* You can speed up your transaction by clicking on "Speed Up" on the transaction in the activity section of Metamask
