Pokémon: Where to buy EU

As regards to the purchase, it is good to divide it into two categories:

The first category represents who manages the purchase selectively elements, by always looking to make a profitable transaction and to get good value for money, so they are searching for the best possible price. These people try to buy products in bulk, preferring these to single purchases.

How to find interesting collections?

  • PRIVATE/FRIENDS/ACQUAINTANCES: As Pokémon is a card game that was born decades ago, it is very likely that people close, and not close, to you will still have cards at home. You should start by asking your friends and family to see if you can find something. You often find cards that are dated because they were used when we were children and teenagers. Remember, on very old cards,it is almost always possible to get a profit according to their conditions.

  • FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE: It is often possible to find great deals here as not everyone is aware of the real value of cards they have.

  • LOCAL STREET MARKETS: It is very easy to find cards at great prices but pay attention to the condition.

  • COMIC SHOP: They often have collections withdrawn years before from customers.

  • SPECIALIZED SHOPS: Here you can find very interesting cards, often at the right price.

  • SUBITO.IT/SALES WEBSITES: You only need to enter the word “Pokémon” in the search bar and check all the ads in order to find the best product with the highest value.

The second category includes those who buy in a targeted manner as if it were a real investment. After having analyzed the market trends, it is possible to make predictions on the performance of a certain card. In this case, the cards will be purchased in “Mint” or “Near Mint” condition, so as to have a high-quality ready for sale.

Usually, it is good to prefer cards in English since there is a wider reference market, without forgetting that even cards in other languages (e.g. Italian) will increase the value.

You only need to buy on one of the following platforms:

  • Cardmarket

  • Facebook Groups

  • eBay
